POSITION SUMMARY

The Director of IT at Cardone Ventures will lead the transformation and automation of critical systems while also managing internal corporate networking, corporate IT policies, working with user and desktop environments, hardware procurement, and helpdesk/tier 1 support. This role will serve as the primary architect for our IT team, ensuring the smooth deployment of new systems and anticipating potential obstacles. This position is particularly challenging due to the highly-regulated nature of the industry and the unique demands of our high-volume, e-commerce-focused business.

OBJECTIVES
  • Streamline the development of a user-friendly web and mobile platform, facilitating easy service bookings across various models.
  • Take a lead role in talent strategy, attracting, recruiting, mentoring, and developing top engineering talent to ensure the success of our technology initiatives.
  • Implement and manage a secure CRM (Salesforce) instance to optimize operations in Sales, Marketing, and Operations departments.
  • Provide initial support for IT-related issues to end-users, resolving basic technical problems and escalating complex issues when necessary.
  • Establish and maintain robust security protocols to safeguard company data and infrastructure, including endpoint protection measures.
  • Develop and enforce IT policies, ensuring a secure and productive IT environment while maintaining compliance with company-wide IT standards.
  • Manage the procurement of hardware and IT equipment, evaluating vendors and negotiating contracts for cost-effective purchases.
  • Conduct training sessions for tier 1 support and end-users and troubleshoot and resolve IT-related issues as they arise.
  • Develop onboarding processes for new employees, providing IT orientation and resources to ensure a smooth transition into the IT environment.
  • Conduct recurring leadership development conversations, developing/coaching team members including bi weekly 1:1s, effectively determine incentive payout, and give transformational performance feedback

COMPETENCIES
  • Demonstrated recent hands-on experience in designing, engineering, and successfully implementing enterprise-grade software products.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical ideas and initiatives to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Expertise in solution architecture with a diverse range of experiences, enabling effective resolution of complex issues.
  • Proficiency in managing networking equipment for optimal functionality and cost, including firewalls and access points.
  • Ability to deploy, manage, and secure computing devices for staff members on a regular basis.
  • Proficiency in operating within a public cloud environment (Azure, AWS, GCP) involving the development, deployment, and maintenance of enterprise software.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum of 3 years of active experience in architecture, design, engineering, and implementation within a complex enterprise cloud environment.
  • Preferred experience in a HIPAA-regulated environment.
  • Previous experience working with an EHR system.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Weekend availability - up to 25%
