Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Cybersecurity Architect to join our team and lead the security strategy for our project involving Databricks within a cloud computing environment. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud security, data protection, and the Databricks platform. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and compliant solutions that protect our data and infrastructure.



Top 3:

• 10+ years as a Technical Architecture (especially w/ Cloud Security; AWS or Azure)


• Certifications (CISSP and/or AWS Certified Security)


• Experience with Threat Assessment/Modeling

Key Responsibilities:

• Security Architecture Design: Develop and implement comprehensive security architectures for Databricks projects in a cloud computing environment, ensuring the protection of data, applications, and infrastructure.


• Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities in cloud-based Databricks projects and implement mitigation strategies.


• Cloud Security Best Practices: Apply cloud security best practices to secure data, access controls, and network configurations within the Databricks platform. Compliance and Governance: Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) by implementing appropriate security policies and controls.


• Security Monitoring and Incident Response: Monitor cloud environments for security threats, vulnerabilities, and anomalies. Develop and implement incident response plans to address security breaches. Collaboration and Communication:


• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, data scientists, and cloud architects, to integrate security into all aspects of the project. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of security architectures, policies, and procedures.


• Prepare and present reports on security status and incidents to stakeholders. Education and Awareness:


• Provide security training and awareness programs for team members to promote secure practices and compliance. Continuous Improvement:


• Stay up to date with emerging security trends and technologies. Continuously improve security measures and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. Proven experience as a Cybersecurity Architect or similar role, with a focus on cloud computing environments.


• Strong understanding of Databricks and Apache Spark, including experience securing these platforms. Expertise in cloud security best practices and technologies (e.g., IAM, encryption, VPC security, etc.).


• Familiarity with compliance and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) in cloud environments. Proficiency in programming and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell). Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.


• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, AWS Certified Security, etc.) are a plus.
