Job Summary:

We are seeking a Vice President of Product Management to join our technology team as we begin a transformational journey to a product-centric tech organization. Our goal is to delight our customers with exceptional guided travel experiences on a global scale, every single trip. This role is pivotal in shaping our future, setting the product strategy, and championing our customer-first approach to product development.

We're looking for a seasoned leader with a strong sense of purpose and values, known for integrity, ownership, and inclusivity, to lead our product management team. You have a proven track record of delivering delightful customer experiences at scale. This individual will establish a product-focused approach aligned with our business strategy, prioritize customer needs, and recruit and nurture talented individuals. Primary Functions:
  • Drive our product vision, advocate for it with leadership, and ensure customer experience is paramount. Bring fresh ideas to complex challenges.
  • Ownership: Own/Evolve products that serve both our retail and group customers (travelers, agents, and group leaders) and our internal team (Customer Care, Sales, Operations, etc.).
  • Define and implement a product process that spans from discovery through delivery. Effectively lead the team through this transformation with solid change management skills.
  • Hire, manage, develop, and inspire a team of product managers, driving the product process from discovery to delivery. Strong analytical skills and a focus on achieving outcomes are key.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, representing the user's perspective and communicating our vision effectively.
  • Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement, using feedback and analytics to optimize user experience. Stay updated on industry trends. Balance between applying a data-driven "test and learn" process with an intuitive sense of how to make bold bets that are based on an understanding of our traveler needs.

Knowledge & Skills:
  • 10+ years of experience with at least 5 years in product leadership.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Proven track record in consumer-facing products (travel experience preferred) leading teams through complex problems leveraging a product-focused approach delivering business value by driving outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience exercising an ownership mentality while also staying transparent and approachable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to bring clarity to ambiguous problems and articulate strategy effectively to different audiences.
  • Demonstrated experience leading organizations through change and pushing forward through challenges.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills leveraging data to diagnose problems and influence product strategies.
  • Collaborates well with others with the ability to adapt with new learnings.
  • Results-driven with a commitment to driving outcomes for the business.
