This position is considered Office-First, an office-first employee is an employee within the Greater Omaha Metropolitan Area whose default work location is a designated office and has office presence at least four days per week, specifically, Monday through Thursday. On office-first employee may at times perform work outside of a designated office location based on personal or professional need, at the discretion of their supervisor.
Description
The Vice President, Technology Operations will lead the team responsible for the planning, deployment, operation, and support of the company's production digital and retail platforms. In this position, the VP will explore new technologies and software and, in conjunction with the Chief Technology and Innovation Officer, oversee the architecture and implementation of ongoing support of the network, server, and communications infrastructure to ensure high performance of corporate and store-level IT systems. This role will also work closely with senior leadership to develop scalable technology policies and processes to be administered throughout the company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Develop IT strategic plans, policies, and procedures to ensure that the department operates effectively and reliably
Participate in the development of IT initiatives and improvement activities
Build, coach, and develop a cohesive technology operations team
Lead the Corporate Technology department, including people, budget, infrastructure, and retail IT systems
Lead integration, implementation, and maintenance of technology systems
Evaluate the company's existing technology platforms to identify opportunities for continued integration and alignment
Continually evaluate emerging technologies
Continuously review of existing technology operations to enhance performance and/or operational costs
Ensure organization meets regulatory SLA for all technical responses
Manage vendor relationships; identify, evaluate, negotiate, and onboard technical systems that are required for company operations
Ensure scalability and performance metrics are achieved
Facilitate ongoing investment leverage in technology that improves efficiency and quality and reduces overall operating costs
Oversee management of all technical equipment, IT services, purchase, planning, and office technical systems, including office networks, storage servers, archival systems, Wi-Fi, and security systems
Take ownership of products, ensuring all functions of the organization are aligned to meet strategic technology objectives
Develop trusted relationships internally and externally
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferred, with a major in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience in computer science
5+ years in a strategic, senior leadership role
Minimum of 6-8 years' experience in cloud engineering
Minimum of 10 years' experience working in a large IT environment in support of IT service and business processes, with proven track record of driving large-scale changes
Food service industry experience and understanding of food service industry structure and concepts
Effective interpersonal soft skills, thought leadership, and team growth
Expertise in working with colleagues throughout the organization and in leading collaborative teams to achieve common goals
Excellent communication, documentation, and troubleshooting skills
