Job Description:

Job Title: SharePoint Engineer

Location: Must be local to Long Island City in Queens, NY and willing to go onsite 2-3 days a week.

Duration: 6+ months contract (W2 candidates only)

What You'll Do
  • Installation and Configuration: Creating and configuring SharePoint sites, lists, document libraries, workflows.
  • User Management: Managing user access, permissions, and security settings within SharePoint sites and libraries.
  • Content Management: Overseeing the organization, categorization, and storage of content within SharePoint sites, including GxP documents, lists, and libraries.
  • Customization and Development: Customizing SharePoint sites using features such as web parts, workflows, and custom scripts to meet specific business needs. Working closely with developers for more complex customization and development tasks. The development is just working closely with the developers but not doing hands-on development.
  • Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitoring SharePoint performance, diagnosing and resolving issues, and performing routine maintenance tasks such as backups, updates, and patches.
  • Training and Support: Providing training and support to end-users on SharePoint functionality, best practices, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Governance and Compliance: Ensuring that SharePoint sites and controls set around GxP content adhere to organizational governance policies, industry regulations, and compliance standards.
  • Integration and Migration: Integrating SharePoint with other systems and applications as needed, and migration of GxP data from uncontrolled network share and SharePoint environments.
  • Documentation: Maintaining and developing documentation on SharePoint configurations, processes, and procedures and technical requirements documentation for specifications based on business requirements.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborating with other IT teams, with the business across R&D and Global Supply Chain departments to support cross-functional projects and initiatives, and communicating effectively with stakeholders about SharePoint-related matters.
  • User Support and Training: Ability to provide user support, training, and guidance on SharePoint functionality and best practices. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Ability to maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of SharePoint configurations, processes, and procedures. Understanding of governance, compliance, and regulatory requirements related to SharePoint usage.

Who You Are
  • You bring 3-5 years of SharePoint engineering experience to the table, coupled with a natural aptitude for leadership and results-driven innovation.
  • With a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, you're equipped to navigate the complexities of SharePoint architecture and development.
  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: SharePoint Administrator Associate are highly valued, as is your knowledge of regulatory standards and data integrity.
  • Your proficiency in SharePoint migration tools and related technologies like Active Directory, SQL Server, and IIS further strengthens your candidacy.
  • With strong analytical and organizational skills, you're adept at assessing requirements and proposing effective solutions, both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
