We need an Audio SQA engineer who is committed to quality and passionate about customer experience. The candidate will perform audio validation activities during the development stage of our future audio products and sustaining programs. The candidate will use sophisticated and highly specialized audio measurement equipment to validate the audio performance of our systems. The candidate will be involved in creating test-plans and executing test-cases according to test-plan. The candidate will listen to our devices and will utilize our internal bug management system for reporting defects. The candidate will work cross-functionally with development and project management teams in the process of triaging and resolving audio-related system bugs.
Skills:
Fundamental understanding of systems engineering principles (requirements, specifications, verification, validation)
Fundamental understanding of QA principles and good practices (regression testing, functional testing, stress vs. load testing)
Previous exposure to Linux command-line and some familiarity with Linux-based operating systems
Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
Strong organizational and communication skills
Experience with at least one programming language such as Python, Java or C is a plus
Fundamental understanding of audio signal processing and audio measurement tools is a plus
1+ years of tech-industry experience in similar role is a plus
Must-haves for Audio SQA Engineer:
At least 1+ years of QA experience in a similar role
Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills
Basic technical skills such as navigating a Linux-like OS via command-line / Terminal
Knowledge of at least one C-like programming language
Strong intuition and understanding of debugging and troubleshooting best practices (e.g. how to isolate a defect? regression testing)
Preferred for Audio SQA Engineer:
Basic acoustics knowledge (what is dB SPL?)
Experience with audio signal processing and audio measurement tools (hardware and software)
Experience with testing pro-audio hardware
Time zone:
Culver City location and expected to work in office and lab - 5 days a week
Culver City time zone, Collaborate with remote China team - 5 to 6PM PST

Understanding and capability to operate internal test equipment is achieved within the first 2 weeks of onboarding.
All defect reports are written clearly with all applicable logs, timestamps, screenshots, etc. as required by internal SOP.
All lab management tasks are performed in a timely manner.
Communication with the team is clear, effective and timely.
All assigned test-cases are executed in a timely manner.
All filed bug-reports are carefully being monitored and being followed-up on in a timely manner
