Robert Half has a fantastic opportunity for a highly skilled Senior Systems Administrator! This Senior Systems Administrator is responsible for ensuring the health, maintenance, monitoring, and upgrading of all Windows servers and networking devices, providing Tier 3 support for all servers, workstations, and network systems. Responsibilities:
Manage server administration and maintenance, including hardware and applications such as MS Exchange / O365, Teams, MS SQL Server, SharePoint, Desktop Central Manage Engine suite, and Citrix XenApp / XenDesktop environments.
Perform patching servers and updates to ensure system security and reliability.
Manage and administer network infrastructure, including troubleshooting installation problems on Cisco, Dell, Meraki switches, firewalls, and routers.
Implement and manage Active Directory (AD), DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy Objects (GPO).
Ensure proper understanding and implementation of file permissions across the network.
Collaborate with IT and security teams to troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to OKTA authentication.
Maintain and manage virtualized environments using VMWare.
Monitor system performance and proactively address potential issues.
Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
Deep knowledge of Windows servers, including AD, DNS, DHCP, and O365.
Experience with Citrix XenApp, XenDesktop, and virtualization technologies (VMWare).
Proficiency in managing firewalls, switches, and routers, preferably experience with Meraki and WatchGuard.
Strong understanding of network protocols and configurations.
Experience with patching servers and managing updates.
Familiarity with managing GPOs and file permissions.
Experience troubleshooting authentication issues with OKTA is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
