Key Responsibilities:
Virtualization Mastery:
Lead the deployment and management of a sprawling VMware landscape housing over 8,000 VMs across Windows and Linux platforms.
Harness the power of VMware Skyline for predictive insights and actionable recommendations.
Leverage the robust capabilities of VMware Aria (vRealize) Suite for seamless IT operations automation, ensuring peak performance and reliability.
Innovate with vRealize Automation to streamline cloud infrastructure provisioning.
Drive hardware implementation and support within the Cisco UCS Environment.
Architect virtualization solutions tailored for enterprise-scale applications and deliver ongoing operational support.
Demonstrate advanced proficiency in VMware SRM and proficiency in at least one scripting language, such as PowerShell or Python.
Actively engage in weekend maintenance and On-Call rotations to uphold system integrity.
Execute VM lifecycle management tasks, including creation, templates, snapshots, and backups, with additional knowledge of Avamar and vROps as a plus.
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation covering SOPs, configurations, and processes across vSphere versions 6x-8x.
Azure Expertise:
Design and implement Azure cloud services with a focus on Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS).
Oversee Azure virtual networks, VMs, and storage solutions to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Enforce robust security measures and compliance standards within the Azure environment.
Drive automation initiatives and scripting using Azure CLI for enhanced operational efficiency.
Conduct performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and fine-tuning to maximize cloud resource utilization.
Collaborate closely on cloud integration, migration endeavors, and disaster recovery strategies.
Minimum Qualifications:
Hold a Bachelor's degree in computer science, information management, or a related field, or demonstrate equivalent expertise through seven years of operating systems analysis/administration experience, or nine years without a degree.
Possess proficiency in at least three contemporary operating systems currently deployed in production environments.
Preferred Skills:
Exhibit strong teamwork attributes and a collaborative mindset.
Showcase extensive experience in VMware environments, including Skyline and Aria (vRealize).
Demonstrate proven mastery in Azure IaaS.
Show familiarity with Azure security protocols and tools.
