NETWORK ENGINEER
- 1st SHIFT


This salaried position is responsible for designing and implementing new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current voice, security and data networks.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Installs, configures and supports network equipment including routers, firewalls, VPN's, switches, wireless networks and telephony systems.
• Protects systems from cyber threats, including bugs, malware, and hacking attempts.
• Performs a variety of maintenance, evaluation, installation, and training tasks to ensure performance meets company and user requirements.
• Provides technical support and guidance to users.
• Installs, maintains, and modifies system software and files as needed. Maintains system security and integrity with network software and regular system file backups.
• Plan, engineer, and monitor the security arrangements for the protection of the network systems.
• Reports network status metrics monthly to key stakeholders.
• Able to work weekends and overtime as required.
• Able to be on call 24/7.
• Meets all physical and environmental requirements.

REQUIREMENTS



Education: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required. Bachelor's degree in CIS or related field is preferred.


Certifications: Must be willing to obtain NFPA70E ARC Flash Certification, Fork Truck Certification, Aerial/Scissor Lift Certification, and CCNA Certification.


Experience: Two years related experience is required. The candidate must have working knowledge of LAN, WAN and network architecture. The candidate must be able to manage and install network switches, firewalls, VPN's, wireless access points, and phone systems.. Knowledge of SAN, Firewall, VPN, telephony technologies, Server Administration, Active Directory, Vmware, CompTIA Network+.
