The Field Technical Liaison is a member of the Technical, Warranty, Support, and Training team who will assist our contractors, architects, building owners, and others in evaluating the suitability of roofing projects for coating. They will also be responsible for evaluating warranty claims, training applicators, responding to technical inquiries, and other technical support (internal and external). This role requires heavy travel as the Field Technical Liaison will assist with projects throughout the continental US.
Responsibilities (partial list)
Work with Sales to observe project conditions before, during, and after coating applications
Communicate technical, warranty, and training information and initiatives to Sales and other departments
Review projects and develop action plans
Review warranty applications for pre-approval and specification
Evaluate warranty claims
Review finished projects for punch-list items and warranty sign-off
Observe and advise contractors at various project stages
Investigate project concerns and advise on resolutions
Technical Skills
Strong understanding of roofing systems and coatings
Strong computer and app skills
Strong analytical skills to evaluate and determine causality
Proficient with communications tools, ie Zoom, Google Meet, email, messaging apps, text, etc
Must be able to clearly communicate complex concepts for wide audiences
Ability to juggle multiple projects in a position filled with competing priorities
Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
Able to safely climb ladders and perform thorough roof inspections
Qualifications
2 years in a technical role with a roof coatings or waterproofing coatings manufacturer
Or, 2 years applying, troubleshooting, or evaluating coatings/waterproofing for a commercial contractor, architect, or engineering firm.
Or, RRO, RRC, RWC, or similar certificate through accredited industry association
Or, 3 years coatings experience in related industries
Or, a combination of experiences above
