Maintains master production schedule for the assigned facility based on customer orders, availability of raw materials, and staff to meet customer sales order delivery dates
Understands product line, identifies constraints, and seeks practical solutions
Manages different reporting systems and records production progress daily.
Presents weekly production scorecard that identifies goal attainment and articulates shortfalls.
Reports to and works with the Supply Chain Manager to improve overall plant metrics
Ensures schedules and job orders are provided to appropriate personnel within the organization promptly in the system and on the production shop floor.
Participates and provides feedback in daily plant meetings; communicates and changes the production schedule.
Rectifies reconciles and communicates to the appropriate personnel any distortions in the schedule in a timely fashion
Brainstorms to solve problems related to scheduling and customer satisfaction.
Adheres to all company safety and quality rules and regulations.
Prepare and do the MPS (Manufacturing Plan Schedule) meeting
Participate in S&OP (Sales and Operations) review
Work closely with supply chain and customer operations to identify part schedules to adjust production schedules while optimizing on-time deliveries
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes
Ability to work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail to produce quality results
Ability to be creative and innovative with approaches to solutions and solving complex problems; thinking outside of the box approach to achieve continuous improvement
Experience in supply chain activities
Able to work independently and equally well in a team environment
Excellent interpersonal and time management skills
Exhibit a high level of flexibility and multi-tasking at all times
Experience utilizing the Scheduling function of an ERP system; EPICOR experience is desirable.
Intermediate skills in Excel and ability to navigate within other Microsoft Office applications.
