Looking for a management opportunity in Cold Spring, MN? Doherty Staffing Solutions is partnering with a leading beverage distribution company in Cold Spring, MN. We are seeking candidates for a Facilities Manager role on 1st shift (8:00am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday). Compensation for this direct hire job is based on skill and experience.
What you will do as the Facilities Manager:
Assign, schedule and supervise the maintenance and repair work of buildings and equipment
Inspect buildings and equipment for needed repair and maintenance work and respond to emergency site maintenance as required and confer/advise management regarding maintenance projects and priorities
Schedule and assign work in the skilled trade areas of Carpentry, Electrical, Painting, Plumbing, Welding, and Heating
Schedule on-call and preventative maintenance personnel
Perform performance appraisals with every direct report every 12-months
Work with managers and employees on a daily basis to solve problems and create opportunities for success
Ensure proper levels of tools, materials and supplies are adequate to support level of maintenance activity for the company
Plan and coordinate maintenance projects including such requirements as consulting with engineers, outside contractors and maintenance personnel, request drawings, specifications and receive quotes
Inspect the work in progress as well as upon completion and take actions as needed to bring projects to successful completion
Coordinate and manage the installation of new equipment as well as the movement of production equipment including the installation of any required utilities
Monitor equipment operating costs to achieve the most efficient use of equipment
What you need to become the Facilities Manager:
5-10 years of experience in a Production environment preferred
3-5 years of supervisory experience; must be able to direct and lead people
Must have above average organizational skills
Ability to create metrics for quality, cost and delivery maintenance services
Must have strong mechanical background, including thorough knowledge in areas of maintenance, plumbing, electrical, welding, heating, and refrigeration
Willingness to travel to other company or customer locations
Ability to regularly climb to elevated areas, bend, stoop, and lift up to 60 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations
