I have a contract for a Network Security Engineer to join the team. This is working for one of our top tier clients in East Hartford, CT.

Responsibilities:
Must possess understanding of networking concepts and protocols, and be proficient in Microsoft operating systems.
Must have experience with Windows 10, Microsoft servers and VMware and be an expert in Active Directory and Group Policy.
Technical understanding of vulnerabilities and how attackers can exploit vulnerabilities to compromise systems.
Experience with network vulnerability management software for patching, configuring and detecting network vulnerabilities required.
Hands-on network security experience with implementing and maintaining security controls, patch management and the duties and responsibilities specified.
Experience with digital certificates and disk encryption.
Qualifications:
Technical proficiency and knowledge in information assurance, network security, computer information systems, computer science, or management information systems.
Hands-on experience with relevant compliance and vulnerability management technologies such as Nessus, Qualys and Rapid7
Familiarity with information security policies, standards, industry best practices, and frameworks
