Job Description:

Job Description: As a Human Resources Generalist, you will play a key role in supporting various HR functions within the organization. You will collaborate closely with the office staff and other departments to ensure the smooth operation of HR processes and initiatives.
Responsibilities:
  • Administer various HR functions including but not limited to recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, and compliance.
  • Coordinate the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, conducting reference checks, and extending job offers.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, including conducting orientation sessions and ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed.
  • Provide support to employees and office staff on HR-related inquiries and issues, serving as a resource for policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Assist with performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and employee development planning.
  • Manage employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and investigations, in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
  • Perform benefits administration to include open enrollment, communication of benefit information to employees, and verifying eligibility.
  • Assist in preparing the annual Form 5500 filing for the Welfare Benefits Plan.
  • Assist in ACA employer reporting.
  • Perform EEO-1 Reporting.
  • Work closely with the payroll manager and assist with bi-weekly in-house payroll processing.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and generate reports as needed.
  • Support HR projects and initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in a Human Resources role.
  • Knowledge of HR best practices and employment laws.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP).
  • Experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
