This position is responsible for managing the admissions files for all international applicants, implementation of an international recruitment plan, and implementing international transitions initiatives developed by the Office of Admissions. The International Liaison will be supported by the entire Admissions team to successfully achieve all international enrollment goals. The position requires the liaison to work with students from inquiry to the enrollment phase and includes communication with SEVIS representatives. Regular communication with international recruiters is a critical part of the position. In the role, the position will provide support and work to improve the retention efforts of international students at the university. International travel may be required of the staff person only when the travel does not place the liaison in any danger. The position also requires the usage of both Colleague and Salesforce platforms to process and document student progress through the admissions funnel.
This position is responsible for meeting and maintaining high-level goals for enrollment as established by the Director of Admissions by recruiting high yield students. As demand increases, extensive travel to college/transfer fairs, high schools, churches and other constituents outside of local region may be expected (up to ten weeks).
Responsibilities also include supervising for an admissions/recruitment team, working with traditional undergraduate prospective students and directing all aspects of undergraduate recruitment for an assigned region. This position assists students through the entire admissions process including financial aid documentation and other important enrollment processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field required
One or more years of student recruitment experience preferred
Supervisory experience in an educational environment preferred
Proven past success in the recruitment of students and an understanding of excellent customer service
Proficient in Microsoft Office software applications (e.g. Word, Excel, Access, etc.)
Ability to use key technology tools such as CRM and SIS
Ability to lead a regional recruitment effort
Must be a self-starter, plus have the ability to train, assist, and motivate student staff toward their recruitment goals

Essential Functions:
Meet and maintain high-level admissions goals for international and domestic recruitment.
Review and accept applicants under regular acceptance criteria.
Contact provided international lead and regularly communicate with international recruiters.
Process international applications and issuing I-20 applications through the admissions process.
Work collaboratively with staff to ensure all processes and marketing materials are implemented accurately and generating the appropriate outcome for the School of Education.
Generate reports on a weekly basis regarding international processing and engage with international recruiters.
Collaborate and support campus diversity and international initiatives as described by supervisor.
Assist in developing an international communication drip campaign and update messages with communication specialist as needed.
Collaborate with campus and admissions team members to implement international transition initiatives.
Participate in the campus events, visit days, orientations, and preview weekends
Maintain a current understanding of various recruitment information including, but not limited to financial aid procedures, transcript evaluation, registration processes, and the use of the CRM tool
Travel internationally to support international recruiters and attend events when budget allows.
Meet daily, weekly, and monthly plans and means for achieving recruitment goals for each entering term developed in cooperation with the Director of Admissions
Maintain a current understanding of various recruitment information including, but not limited to financial aid procedures, transcript evaluation, registration processes, and the use of the CRM tool
