The Philadelphia Job Corps Center provides students with the opportunity to earn their High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED), and hands-on training in the following areas: Certified Nurse Assistant, Clinical Medical Assistant, Medical Administration Assistant, Patient Care Technician, Plumbing, Painting, Security and Protective Services, HVAC, Landscaping, Electrical, and Building Construction Technology.

Responsible to assist in the oversight of Health-Career training programs and to take an active role in assisting with the facilitation of the EMT Training Program. Ensures quality programming that provides students with industry-recognized training and credentials. Provides transitional support leading to quality full-time jobs, higher education, military or advanced training. Identifies and develops Center beneficial partnerships that lead to student benefit and success. Ensures strict confidentiality of sensitive information and integrity of student data.


As the Health Care CTT Coordinator, you will be at the forefront of guiding and supporting our students in their transition from training to successful careers in the healthcare field. You will play a pivotal role in connecting them with opportunities, providing mentorship, and ensuring they are well-prepared to contribute to the healthcare workforce with confidence and competence.



Responsibilities:


  • Career Counseling: Provide personalized career counseling and guidance to students, helping them explore and define their career goals within the healthcare industry.

  • Job Placement: Cultivate strong relationships with local healthcare employers to facilitate job placements and internships, ensuring a seamless transition from training to the workplace.

  • Professional Development: Develop and implement workshops and training programs to enhance students' professional skills, including resume building, interview preparation, and workplace etiquette.

  • Networking: Actively engage with healthcare professionals, industry organizations, and alumni to expand our network and create additional opportunities for our students.

  • Monitoring and Evaluation: Track and assess students' progress, conducting regular follow-ups to address challenges and celebrate successes in their healthcare career journey.

  • Resource Coordination: Collaborate with internal and external partners to provide resources such as job fairs, networking events, and additional support services to enhance students' overall success.

Qualifications




  • Current EMT Certification (good standing) required.
  • Two years of Heath Career Education oversight/facilitation preferred along with experience in the education of young adults.
  • High School Diploma required.
