This individual will be responsible for supporting the Category Marketing Management team. The Foodservice Associate Category Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing Communications, Finance, and Supply Chain, to drive category growth and profitability while maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Category Strategy: Support the implementation category strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives, ensuring that the assortment meets customer demands and market trends.
Product Management: Support innovation and portfolio optimization in each category, considering factors such as market trends, customer preferences, and competitive analysis.
Pricing and Margins: Monitor pricing, margins, and cost structures to maximize profitability and maintain a competitive position in the market.
Inventory Management: Work closely with the Demand Planning and Supply Chain team to optimize inventory levels, minimize shorts, and manage aging inventories.
Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales team to provide product training and support, ensuring that they have the tools and knowledge needed to effectively sell category products.
Market Analysis: Leverage our industry data providers to stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities, providing insights and recommendations to drive category growth.
Promotions and Marketing: Support the Category Marketing Management team in developing, executing, and measuring marketing and promotional plans to drive product sales and awareness within the category.
Customer Satisfaction: Monitor customer feedback and address any issues or concerns promptly to maintain and improve customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred)
Prior experience in Foodservice category marketing management or a related role strongly preferred
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent negotiation and communication abilities
Proficiency in data analysis and category management process
Familiarity with foodservice industry trends and market dynamics
Exceptional organizational and project management skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team
