Job Description:

SUMMARY

The Senior Tax Analyst assists with direct and indirect income tax compliance, tax audits and notices and ad hoc projects as needed within the department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties and tasks may be assigned.

• Assist in the tax return compliance process by coordinating with external advisors to ensure timely filing of income tax returns and tax payments in all jurisdictions.
• Review multistate partnership federal income tax returns and partnership state tax returns.
• Review quarterly estimated income calculations and quarterly estimated tax payments for states.
• Assist in special projects including due diligence and M&A transactions.
• Prepare technical tax research for tax compliance, provision, and ad hoc research projects, and be prepared to present findings to team members.
• Prepare well-documented tax workpapers and review those prepared by staff to facilitate delivery to external advisors.
• Assist in developing and training staff in department.
• Collaborate with internal departments (accounting, legal, IT) to obtain information needed to prepare tax analysis.
• Review tax depreciation and amortization reports for multiple legal entities.
• Prepare responses to state and local taxing authorities for all tax correspondence received.
• Manage outsourced sales & use tax and property tax compliance.
• Assist in governmental tax audits, including gathering information and drafting responses.
• Contribute to identifying and implementing process improvements for the tax department.
• Research and analyze state and local regulatory developments and determine the impact on the company.
• Provide support for other tax department projects and processes as needed.
