Job Description:

Role: Inventory Control

Shift: Evening 6pm to 2:30am

The Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the inventory control department, including its workforce, and performance. As a supervisor of Inventory Control you monitor and maintain current inventory, internal and external audits, including reconciling stock counts against reports, conducting inventory analysis, provides solutions to inventory challenges, evaluates and completes cycle counts. Leads month-end, quarter-end, and year-end activities.

Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in verifying and keeping records of inventory. Leads, and supports development of the inventory control department. Develops ways to optimize the inventory control program. Assists, trains, and develops associates and new hires.

Partners with all levels of the distribution center leadership levels to identify opportunities for improvements (i.e. root cause, solutions) for effective and efficient operational performance. Develop and maintain productive, effective, and professional relationships with peers, superiors, auditors, and others. Represent the company in a positive and supportive manner at all times.

Oversees the Inventory Control workforce, including performance, scheduling, development, and effectiveness. Oversees the inventory control activities to ensure quality, accuracy, completeness. Monitors and maintains current inventory levels, including reconciling stock counts to reports.

Conducts daily inventory analysis to solve inventory problems. With support from the Inventory Control lead , monitors, evaluates and completes the cycle count quarterly program. Support and lead projects as needed. Ensure Sarbanes-Oxley Act SOX Controls are being followed and in compliance with Internal audits and KPMG. Support, develop, manage, and train new staff activities designed to control and implement inventory control measures. Collaborate with Internal and External Audits as needed.

Trains and advises employees on care and preservation of goods, specifically how to store, pick, pack, and ship; methods and use of equipment in handling storing, maintaining, and shipping stock. Trains employees on inventory control cycles

Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness & conformance to receiving policies and procedures. Issues oral and written instructions.

Reports receiving discrepancies (quantity or quality) . Produces reports.

Solicits information and suggestions on how to specifically improve the inventory control process and its dependencies. Cross train in other departments and or support with other functions as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS: Required qualifications needed in order to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this position.

Education/Certifications:

High School Diploma or GED

Work Experience:

2-3 years warehouse experience.

Skills/Competencies:

SPECIAL SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to read, analyze and interpret written instructions including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

• Ability to present information and respond to questions from groups of management

• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

• Good math skills, ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure

• Ability to accurately count physical goods
