Decontamination Tech- Per Diem Weekend evening at Brigham & Women's Faulkner Hospital(BWFH) in Boston, Massachusetts

Job Description:

Schedule: Per diem, 16 hours. Every Saturday and Sunday 3:00Pm-11:30pm. Rotating holidays required.



  • The Decontam Tech collects biohazard waste, replaces sharps containers, picks up soiled linen throughout the hospital, cleans equipment necessary for patient care (pumps, commodes, seizure pads, stretchers, etc.)

  • Distributes linen throughout the hospital when necessary.

  • Complete quarterly equipment cleaning.

  • Attend monthly meetings.

  • Complete other duties and/or tasks as needed.

Qualifications


  • High school education or equivalent preferred

  • Staff adheres to all C.A.R.E. Standards

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English: oral, written, and typed

  • Ability to converse with patients and staff in a friendly and courteous manner

  • Must be able to follow instructions, printed or verbal

  • This position requires the candidate to be on their feet most of the shift as required and be able to help transfer patients from beds to stretchers and wheelchairs.
