In order to support our growing business, we're looking for a Quality Engineer Manager to join our team! You'll play a key role as Lytx scales, by driving continuous improvement in product quality, time to market and hardware manufacturing efficiency. We are seeking a highly motivated and expert technical leader with strong analytical skills and outstanding ability to gain alignment and drive projects cross functionally, leveraging quality management and supply base development skills. You'll Get To:

  • Provide quality leadership for assigned projects with cross functional teams to optimally outsource the manufacturing of new Lytx products

  • Work with leadership to develop and implement a strategic plan aligned with Lytx’s corporate strategy that optimizes hardware availability, quality, and cost across the entire product lifecycle from design release to end of life

  • Define clear quality plans with product development and assure technical documentation and valid testing is complete prior to product release

  • Participate in product design and lead production readiness reviews to enable Dfx best practices and early ramp product quality stability

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on qualifications, KPI establishment and performance management of all manufacturing facilities and processes

  • Provide mentorship to suppliers to maintain or improve quality, reliability, lean manufacturing, statistical process control and quality assurance

  • Supervise and report hardware quality and reliability trends and drive continuous improvement plans

  • Quickly identify and resolve sophisticated hardware quality or reliability issues working directly with suppliers/clients as needed

  • Other duties as assigned

What You'll Need:

  • Minimum of 8-10 years proven experience in electronics manufacturing quality management (PCBA and box build assembly)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related scientific discipline. ASQ certification preferred

  • An accomplished individual contributor and positive doer that can empower both internal and external partners to build a world class quality culture

  • Strong analytical, problem solving and failure analysis skills including expertise in statistics to lead Design of Experiments, Process FMEA, Control plan development, and GR&R studies. Six sigma black belt training preferred

  • Strong fundamental understanding of process improvement techniques e.g. lean manufacturing

Experience within the following areas is required:

  • Quality management of outsourced contract manufacturers in a global supply chain

  • Conducting quality audits, driving manufacturing partner corrective actions,

  • Phase gate development process for new product introductions

  • Product quality monitoring, quality improvement plans, and accelerating customer quality issue resolution

Salary is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is also eligible for an incentive compensation plan. The expected hiring salary for this position is:

$119,625.00 - $150,875.00
