Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Software Development Manager in Test to lead our Software Development Engineers in Test (SDET) and the Quality Assurance functional area. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of SaaS and Cloud based technologies, and significant experience as a leader of people and technology in the quality assurance function within a cyber threat intelligence or cyber security space. This role requires a proactive leader with a strong analytical mindset, exceptional problem-solving skills, and possess keen mentoring skills to grow the SDET and QA team.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the SDET team focused on creating and testing cyber threat intelligence products
  • Mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Ability to manage and mentor teams in distributed locations across multiple geographies.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement QA strategies, processes, and best practices.
  • Oversee the testing of threat intelligence tools and platforms for accuracy and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the integration of quality standards.
  • Identify and mitigate risks in the threat intelligence lifecycle.
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure compliance with industry standards such as ISO 27001
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in cybersecurity and QA.
  • Stay at the forefront of technology adoption within the engineering group (ex: GenAI, LLMs)

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Proven track record of managing and leading QA and SDET team.
  • In-depth knowledge of cyber threat intelligence processes and tools.
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, DevOps, White Box and Black Box testing, tools, and best practices.
  • Proficient with version control systems such as Git, Gitlab etc.,
  • Proficient in one or more coding languages (Golang, PHP, Python).
  • Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.) and non-relational databases (Elasticsearch, Mongo DB, etc.)
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and Kafka and working with high volumes of Data.
  • Experience with Linux.
  • Breadth and Depth in SaaS and Cloud based technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Proficient with Agile frameworks.
  • Ability to utilize testing frameworks such as Cypress, Selenium, etc.
  • Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins, and Bitbucket for use in CI/CD development.
  • Experience with metrics/statistical tools (ex: Grafana).

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in Software Development in Test and QA, with a focus on creating products used in cybersecurity.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, CISA, CSM, CSPO) are a plus.
  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident only.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
