About the Role


This role operates across the Gap Inc. US and Canada Parcel network performing strategic network modeling, performance and cost trend analysis, inventory placement evaluation, and parcel carrier and node optimization. This role will support parcel operational network strategy and optimize B2C delivery from origin to consumer across our portfolio of Brands. In this role, you will help identify key industry trends and innovations and be responsible for detailed analyses, senior leader level presentations, rate shopping and network modeling tool management, and stakeholder management to drive an optimal parcel network built on speed, service, and low-cost. This leader is required to be a strategic thinker comfortable using data to make tough decisions and understand service and cost trends related to network design. The role will need to assimilate large chunks of network data, extract useful insights, and influence informed process enhancements to the customer experience and/or profitability of the parcel operations umbrella.


What You'll Do


· Use data analysis tools (rate shopping, network modeling, parcel audit, performance reporting, etc.) to assess current parcel network and optimize for continuous cost and service improvement.


· Support key business priorities to enable delivery of Gap Inc. goals - including optimization, solution innovation, program / change management.


· Create cost optimization business cases to present to leadership via network, loyalty program, and inventory placement assessments.


· Monitor industry trends and best practices while educating key business partners on parcel transportation network, policies, and carrier base.


· Identify opportunities and risks for delivering the company's services, including identification of competitive services, opportunities for innovation, and analysis of marketplace obstacles and technical hurdles.


· Conduct network and carrier performance audits - to ensure trends are identified and action plans created to continuously improve.


· Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements.


· Serve as the liaison between Parcel Operations and the Supply Chain finance team regarding parcel audit, rate shopping, and forecast enhancements.


· Plan, initiate, and manage parcel network project portfolio.


· Project Manage/ Drive Parcel Operations strategic initiatives.


Who You Are


· Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience


· 5+ years of progressive transportation experience with expertise and exposure to parcel operations and network optimization


· Operates independently to conduct parcel network engineering, data analysis, and action planning.


· Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with flexibility to respond to critical needs of the business.


· Familiarity of parcel nodes, network engineering and parcel carrier operations


· Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Data modeling tools


· Strong written and verbal communication skills


· Geographic Location Requirement - Erlanger, KY (suburb of Cincinnati)
