Job Description:

Infosys is seeking a Business Analyst.
This position's primary responsibility will be to work with key stakeholders and coordinate for day-to-day deliverables for the team; The chosen candidate will work with business teams and help them prioritize roadmap to increase Agility. The role holder should help teams to practice values and principles of Agile and become more Agile. The role holder should be able to create status reports and provide status updates to the stake holders on a weekly basis. Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Jersey City, NJ or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel to project locations.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.


• At least 4 years of Information Technology experience.


• Experience in Financial Services Industry as a Business Analyst.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 4 to 6 years of experience working as a Business Analyst and experience creating requirement specifications documents, BRDs, Functional Specifications documents and interfacing with Business.


• Acts as the liaison among the stakeholders to elicit, analyze, document, communicate and validate business and system requirements using industry leading practices within the business analyst profession.


• Formulates and defines systems scope and objectives for complex business systems based on industry best practices and Client's IT objectives.


• At least 4 to 6 years of Financial domain experience, business processes, risk management, risk assessments and process definition, data feeds and requirement


• Discuss with business owners, understand high level business objectives and requirements and create product backlog, creates epics, features, user stories, story map, business process flows and prioritize with the business owners.


• Ensures all requirements are fulfilled by the technical design. Reviews the test plan, test cases and test scripts ensuring traceability to all requirements.


• Applies industry best practices to improve Client's current practices. Develops recommendations to improve processes or techniques.


• Determines the overall requirements gathering strategy and plans the requirements phase of the project including the work division strategy among the project BAs.


• Manages the progress and quality of the requirements gathering activities and adjusts the plan as necessary. Plans the risk response strategy to be used in monitoring and controlling all identified risks throughout the requirements process.


• Typically leads moderately complex projects and participates in larger, more complex initiatives. Solves complex technical and operational problems. Acts as a resource for teammates with less experience. May have people management responsibilities for a small team.


• Experience with Agile Development, SCRUM, or Extreme Programming methodologies.


• Ability to understand complex data models and be able to perform Data Analysis and Data Mapping.


• Ability to present meaningful data/gap analysis using Strong SQL skills coupled with good Financial Domain Knowledge.

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
