Position Summary: The Manufacturing Supervisor oversees department employees ensuring all safety standards, quality production, and efficiencies are met. This position will require daily operational performance, leading regular production meetings, and maintaining accurate records. You will also be responsible for managing raw materials inventory, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and ensure compliance within company, customer, and ISO standards.
Responsibilities:
Execute HR responsibilities such as screening and interviewing candidates, conducting performance reviews, and ensuring adherence to company policies
Distribute workload, assign tasks, and monitor employee hours, absences, and vacation schedules to meet departmental objectives
Conduct regular department meetings to provide feedback on employee performance related to behavior, quality, safety, and productivity
Monitor production activities and ERP system data to ensure departmental schedules are met or exceeded
Conduct root cause analysis on quality defects and develop action plans for improvement
Manage inventory of raw materials, tooling, plastic bags, corrugated materials, and WIP within the department
Develop and implement maintenance programs for department machinery and assist with troubleshooting
Assess and recommend modifications to current systems and processes for continuous improvement
Qualifications
Bilingual in Spanish/English is required
Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in the manufacturing industry with a focus on processes
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and engage a diverse team
Excellent problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues
