The Sr. Financial Analyst will provide comprehensive financial oversight and operational analysis for six assigned manufacturing factories. Based at the corporate office in Eden Prairie, MN, this role requires 15-25% travel, with higher travel (up to 40%) during training and special projects. On average, this person will be traveling once or twice per month for a few days to the following factories: MN, WI, NE, ID
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Partnership: Serve as the primary financial advisor to factory leadership, focusing on financial and plant performance, including accurate and timely yield reporting.
KPI Analysis: Analyze key production KPIs such as yield, production pounds, plant uptime, and utilization.
Cost Analysis: Act as the expert on raw material and production costing, analyzing raw material mix, market price impacts, yields, and inventory variances.
P&L Management: Oversee factory P&L and forecasts, identifying opportunities to grow margins and reduce expenses.
Leadership Collaboration: Participate actively in monthly factory P&L review calls with senior leadership
Expense Management: Oversee manufacturing expenses, including monthly accruals, forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and leading cost-saving initiatives.
Capex Planning: Manage annual factory capital expenditure budgets and develop return-on-investment analyses.
Inventory Accounting: Manage the full inventory accounting process, including standard cost reviews, inventory adjustments, and cycle count processes.
Process Leadership: Lead plant inventory, work order, manufacturing expense, and management reporting processes, supporting plant front office teams.
Real-Time Inventory Review: Identify and correct improperly recorded daily inventory transactions.
SOP Documentation: Ensure documented standard operating procedures and trained back-ups for all key tasks at each factory
Requirements:
Experience: 5+ years of financial analyst experience within a manufacturing business, preferably in the dairy or food processing industry.
If you have experience overseeing more than 1 site/ manufacturing facility that would be icing on the cake!
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Technical Skills : Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ERP systems, and Power BI or other BI tools.
Analytical Skills : Strong organizational and analytical abilities, with a demonstrated capacity for managing complex data and providing actionable insights.
Communication Skills : Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with individuals at all organizational levels.
Learning Aptitude : Self-motivated with a curiosity to learn processes independently and beyond given instructions.

Salary: $80-90K
+ up to a 10% discretionary incentive plan
Location: In office, Eden Prairie
will travel 15-25% (traveling once or twice per month for a few days) to the various factories for which the role has oversight. During the training process and for special projects, travel may be 40%, or higher.
Company vehicle will be provided along with a company credit card for gas and meal expenses
