What You Will Do
Supervises and directs employees in the operational delivery of the primary NOC services including:
Ensures proper levels of reporting and visibility to KPIs or other forms of measurement are accurate and timely.
Collaborates with other technical teams to document, integrate, and train personnel to transition responsibility for new technical work to the NOC.
Ensures proper coverage of NOC services by scheduling appropriate personnel, covering gaps due to sickness or other issues, recruits personnel with necessary skillsets to backfill or expand the NOC as determined by IT leadership. Supervise and/or direct employees performing IT-related activities.
Oversee team defining tactical activities and processes to address issues with infrastructure. Provide input into long-term strategies as defined by IT Leadership.
Work directly with vendor representatives to ensure proper support and response for areas of responsibility.
Collaborate with other leaders to ensure the technologies are deployed and available to meet requirements for projects or overall strategic direction.
Provide detailed status of support activities or problem management to impacted parties.
Ensure technical resources are knowledgeable about expected service levels for services relying on technology supported by their areas. Assist with the definition and implementation of service level metrics.
Assist with defining or updating of new IT policies and procedures.
Provide detailed information about resources or technology maintenance contracts in support of financial forecasting.
Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.
Employee may be required to perform additional duties as assigned.
What You Will Need
Minimum Bachelor's Degree MIS, computer science, mathematics, other related fields, or equivalent experience.
Strong ability to create dashboards or other analyses of detailed activities, KPIs, and delivery of services.
Strong technical background with 5-7 years of experience in network, servers, storage, or other related IT technologies.
Demonstrated ability to direct the activities of a department, including planning, budgeting, personnel development, and other administrative functions.
Demonstrated ability to identify, prioritize and negotiate application support and project requirements with process owners and key business segment leadership.
Experience managing hardware or software implementation or other IT development efforts a plus.
Experience with the application of math, algebra, and statistical methods.
Experience in use and function of office equipment including computers and applicable software.
Experience and training relative to the following areas:
Experience with infrastructure technologies and experience communicating impacts resulting from development activities.
Experience interacting, advising and communicating effectively with subordinates, peers and all levels of management.
Experience developing information, conducting meetings and making presentations.
Demonstrated ability to read and write fluently in English.
Able to use office tools and equipment required.
Communicate and/or exchange information or instructions; conduct oral presentations and/or meetings.
Visual ability sufficient to perform job duties
