ITI Engineering is seeking a Government Finance and Accounting Lead to join our award-winning team! The Government Finance and Accounting Lead will provide support to the Program Finance Director, Program Management Office and Accounting Office in matters related to Government Business Compliance, Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standard (CAS) matters. The selected candidate will support Government Compliance matters for both proposals and contract execution.
Responsibilities:
Lead organizational compliance efforts pertaining to Government regulations, including FAR, CAS and DCAA requirements
Lead preparation of Incurred Cost Submissions and Disclosure Statements to support Government requirements and/or audits
Lead development and maintenance of Government Finance and Accounting compliance policies and procedures
Lead oversight of Government Finance and Accounting compliance policies and procedures, ensuring finance and accounting practices align with internal policies and procedures as well as Government disclosures
Lead development and implementation of finance and accounting practice changes needed to maintain and/or improve internal and Government compliance posture
Lead review of monthly financial statements for internal and Government compliance prior to publishment
Lead and/or support DCMA and DCAA Government audits
Lead and/or support development, maintenance and evaluation of changes to indirect rate structures
Coordinate with multiple stakeholders to drive positive results as it pertains to Government Finance and Accounting compliance
Requirements:
Basic Qualifications
8-10 years of professional experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
Strong understanding of Government regulations, with emphasis on the FAR and CAS
Experience preparing financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Experience with CAS Disclosure Statements, Incurred Cost Submissions and other required Government reports / submissions
Experience interacting and managing relationships with the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) as well as the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA)
Ability to analyze policies and procedures and lead necessary change to maintain / improve Government compliance posture
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders
Desired Skills
Prior experience in Government Contracting in a Finance / Accounting compliance role
Prior experience with both Cost Type and FFP (Firm Fixed Price) contracts
Experience with ERP systems, Global Shop Solutions software experience a plus
