The Sr. Associate Actuary will perform pricing and inforce management of PRT product line. This position will ensure all pricing procedures, including preparation of pricing review documentation and underwriting report meet Actuarial standards and perform mortality experience analysis, understanding patterns and trends on inforce blocks
This position will report to the AVP within the PRT business unit.
Duties and Responsibilities
Pricing
Perform pricing, modeling, risk and underwriting analysis on new PRT transactions.
Ensure all pricing procedures, including preparation of pricing review documentation and underwriting report, meet Institutional standards.
Perform peer review on the work of other actuaries
Assist in the development of pricing framework and procedures. Recommend, implement, and document enhancements to the pricing process.
Support ad-hoc pricing projects as needed.
Inforce Management
Partner with Pricing, Operations, and Valuation to perform user testing of experience data extracts.
Perform mortality experience analysis, understanding patterns and trends on inforce blocks.
Develop and implement ongoing inforce management monitoring processes and tools.
Coordinate periodic modeling and financial projections to support F&G capital and GAAP income planning, with focus on Pension Risk Transfer business line.
Support reinsurance activities as needed
Support ad-hoc department projects as needed.
Experience and Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Math, Finance, Actuarial Sciences, Statistics or related field
4+ years of actuarial experience
ASA or in process of pursuing actuarial credential
Transactional pricing experience preferred
Pension-related experience, including PRT transactions pricing and plan underwriting preferred
ALM/Investment related experience preferred
Knowledge of database applications (Access, SQL or equivalent), programming languages (VBA, R-code), and actuarial software (Proval, GGY AXIS) preferred
