PRODUCTION SUPPORT at Kent Nutrition Group in Arcade, New York

Blue Seal/Kent Nutrition Group, a member of the KENT® Corporation family of companies has an exciting opportunity to join their team in Production Support at the Arcade, NY plant! This role will support production and daily manufacturing operations. The Production Support team member will learn all of the production processes and will trouble shoot issues and answer production related questions.

We currently have an opening on 2nd Shift (3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.).

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Daily operation of equipment to process and manufacture feed products.


• Operate Mixing, Extruder, and Packing equipment and be backup to the operators when needed for breaks and vacations (will include weekends).


• Assist the Mash Mixing Operator as needed.


• Operate all feed manufacturing equipment safely.


• Direct and monitor housekeeping efforts for the shift.


• Anticipate, organize, and supply ingredients and empty bags for needed production to streamline manufacturing.


• Utilize the matrix system for First In First Out.


• Observe and enforce all company policies and procedures.


• Perform general work around the facility and other duties as assigned.


• Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations.


• Primary backup to the Shift Supervisor.

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED.


• Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements.


• Basic computer knowledge.


• Good communication, verbal, written and math skills.


• Work and cooperate with all fellow employees.


• Thorough understanding of cGMP’s.


• Knowledge of HACCP Feed & Food Safety Plan.


• Knowledge of FSMA.


• Ability to operate a forklift


• Ability to work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures


• Must be able to safely lift up to 55 lbs from floor to working height, as job requires.


• Must pass pre-employment drug screen.

STARTING WAGE:

• $19.50 an hour
