Summary of Position 


Federal Signal has an immediate opening for a strong Kronos BA to support Kronos WFC (Workforce Central) and WFA (Workforce Activities).  The candidate will be in on the ground floor as Federal Signal looks to move from WFC and WFA to Dimensions.  This enterprise-wide role will support system implementations, configurations and process Improvements as well as troubleshoot daily system and business process issues.  The work can be performed at any one of our Illinois-based manufacturing locations. 


Candidates will need product knowledge and configuration expertise with focus on Pay Policy, Accrual Policy, Attendance Policy, Access Profiles and Device Management modules respectively. Five plus, years industry experience as a Functional Analyst. Experience working with Kronos delivered APIs for updating Configuration, People and Timecard data. Ability to work independently with limited supervision. · Excellent verbal and written communication skills. A minimum of 5 years’ experience working with Time and Attendance or Payroll systems with at least two years of new implementation experience. Serves as subject matter expert for Kronos Workforce Scheduling both from the self-service and admin user end.  


 


Works under general supervision. The analyst will work directly with customers to resolve production support issues in high volume complex Kronos Workforce Central 8.1.x environment. This resource will be responsible for responding to customer requests and issues within the defined SLAs, documenting, planning, and prioritizing multiple work orders and optimizing processes to profitably reduce the overall production support requests (WFC and WFA), ensuring work performed meets end user requirements.  


 


Assist with small/medium size projects consisting of requirements gathering, configuration, testing and training. This position plays a major role in the design, programming, testing, implementation, and support for integrations for our Workforce Management System which administers Time & Attendance, Workforce Activity processing, Paid Time Off, and Labor Management. Partner with various Manufacturing Operations, Human Resources, Accounting, and Payroll, Tax groups to ensure that all interfaces are processed correctly and contain accurate information.  


 


Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities 



  • Collaborates with key stakeholders, end users and other members of the department/organization ensuring system is utilized to maximum function. Addresses system concerns for the end-users.

  • Configure the different modules of the timekeeping application namely Pay Policy, Accrual Policy and Attendance Policy based on the requirements, to be compliant with local (US) labor laws and business policy.

  • Support and ensure system availability for Workforce Activities and Workforce Integration Manager (WIM) integration with ERP system.

  • Assists with identifying system enhancement requests and works with the team to communicate them to the end user. 

  • Troubleshoots and resolves application errors and other system issues. Performs testing for all system upgrades/enhancements. 

  • Assists with security & SOX auditing of systems ensuring the integrity of confidential employee data.

  • Participates as a team member in various projects and contributes to the overall goal/objects for the team/project.

  • Responsible for addressing a high volume of system-related activities in a timely fashion while consistently maintaining a high level of quality and customer satisfaction. 

  • Position may require working outside of normal business hours including evenings and weekends primarily for the purpose of system upgrades or downtimes. 

  • Maintains current understanding of system functionality and ensures maximum use of that functionality. Leads small to medium-sized projects. 

  • Understands data flow to/from other systems and works with the IT team to help resolve data integration issues.

  • Assists with data collection for organizational initiatives including annual report and redesignation applications. 

  • Coordinates all data flow from other systems to scheduling system ensuring data is accurate and applicable to end user needs.

  • Position may require travel between various Federal Signal locations and its affiliates and/or for training or conduct virtual training sessions.

  • This position will provide end user support and assist customers with the usability of our integrated solution.

  • Primary point of contact for all Kronos related support issues or application initiatives. 


 


Position Requirements 



  • Workforce Management professional with at least 5-7 years' WFC & WFA experience. 

  • Knowledge on advanced reporting Experience in global roll outs of Kronos WFC and WFA - Time & Attendance, Scheduling and PTO Accrual.

  • Strong experience in executing Kronos Implementation projects using the SDLC life cycle. (i.e., experience in requirement gathering, documentation, configuration, testing, issue identification, enhancements, and go-live support). 

  • Knowledge on configuring Kronos Timekeeper, Accruals, Attendance, Advanced Scheduling modules, Kronos pay, Workforce Activities and system administration. 

  • Experience in integrating with 3rd party applications using Kronos API's Development of Interfaces using Workforce Integration Manager (WIM) and PLSQL

  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate with multiple teams. 

  • Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve issues while providing exceptional service. 

  • Provide help desk support of assigned cases including outbound call backs, e-mails, chat, and internal support tickets.

  • Develop and maintain an intermediate level of knowledge of WFC (UKG) products. 

  • Responsible for all documentation, including applications operations, functional and technical architecture and Operations Manual.
