Kindergarten Homeroom Teacher at The Peck School in Morristown, New Jersey

Job Description:

The Peck School, a coed, K-8, independent school in Morristown, NJ, is seeking a Kindergarten Teacher for the upcoming school year.  As a core member of a highly collaborative team, this individual works in concert with a partnering homeroom teacher, as well as two associate teachers.  Requiring leadership, keen judgment, and broad skills, this role touches on all aspects of school life, from the development of curriculum, to the administration of our character program, to the strengthening of our home-school partnerships.  

The Peck School is committed to excellence and looks for all faculty to demonstrate a growth-minded approach, an openness to collaboration, and a willingness to champion the continued improvement of our program.  Additional competencies include exceptional communication skills (both oral and written), facility with technology, a strong understanding of developmentally-appropriate pedagogy, and the know-how to engage different types of learners.  Experience with Orton-Gillingham, Singapore Math, and Responsive Classroom are a plus.
