Position Summary:



Business expert in OPEX and local revenue tasked with creating financial models, studies and reports by linking operational and financial data. The C&R Data analytics Specialist will convert data into information useful to identify actions in areas of concern or opportunity to upper management. The C&R Data analytics Specialist develop automated tools to track and forecast cost trends, ensure data accuracy and information consistency, and present data-based recommendations to management based on in depth operational and financial analysis. This specialist should be data driven, analytics expert and should have outstanding collaboration skills.



Essential Duties / Responsibilities:




  • Gather, clean, understand, organize databases, and perform analysis conducting to produce reporting related to OPEX and local revenue efficiency
  • Develop Cost studies on historical data and create forecasting models of OPEX and Local Revenue. Those studies could be Excel, access reports or Qlik Sense dashboards
  • Generated periodical reports and update automated reporting to be available to Cost control, other teams and top management
  • Present insights and recommendations to top management based on in depth operational and financial analysis.
  • Implement and promote improvements of current reports developing analytics and data visualization tools and suggesting alternative sources of information.
  • Record, monitor and validated estimations and monthly achievements of OPEX reduction initiatives and additional local Revenue
  • Support and engage in a team mindset of high performance, participate in permanent improvement actions and support a team culture of innovation.
  • Miscellaneous related duties or projects as assigned



Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:




  • Math functions and Numbers required
  • Ability to apply advanced analytical tools, such as regression, correlation, statistics analysis and prediction techniques.
  • Must be comfortable working with large amounts of data
  • Proficient computer skills to include all Microsoft applications (MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word)
  • Working knowledge of business analytics
  • Advanced skill with Qlik Sense, Power BI or another similar business analytics software preferred
  • Advanced skills in data management
  • Ability to apply critical thinking to complex situations
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate orally and in writing with strong presentation skills
  • Advanced problem solving and analytical skills
  • Proven ability to work in team environment
  • Accepts responsibility and accountability with focus on results
  • Ability to monitor and manage priorities and work on multiple tasks concurrently



Education and Experience Requirements:




  • Bachelor's degree (BA) from a four-year college or university required
  • Master's degree in data analytics, logistics, supply chain or similar field preferred
  • At least 2 years of related experience in shipping, Logistics or supply chain
