The Hilton Austin is located at the center of downtown and attached to the Austin Convention Center. It boasts over 800 rooms and over 100,000 sq. foot of meeting space. This position is hourly and will be working Monday - Friday from 8:00am -4:30pm.

What will I be doing?

Provides Administrative support to the General Manager and including typing, filing, answering telephones, maintaining appointment calendar, making travel arrangements, note-taking and other general office duties. Opens incoming mail and distributes accordingly. Routes mail, faxes and other printed matter. Prepares and types correspondence and fairly complex numerical/financial reports, as directed. Supports other departments as necessary.

  • Prepares and types correspondence and fairly complex numerical/financial reports, as directed. Prepares correspondenceon behalf of management. Duplicates, copiesand distributes materials for the office.
  • Orders and maintains office supplies and equipment. Maintains files and equipment in an orderly and professional manner.
  • Uses the property's email system and maintains their email box, as is policy. Additionally, this position may or may not have access and/or control over the email box of their supervisor(s).
  • Appropriate business use of telephone and voicemail system.
  • Greets internal and external customers in a friendly and professional manner. Announces visitors and/or handles requests as appropriate.
  • Attend property staff meetings, General Manager briefings and other department/ management meetings to ensure two-way communication.
  • Coordinate site inspections for Group, IBT, and Leisure Sales Team Members.
  • Facilitate site inspections for Event Sales Center and for "walk-in" sites- full knowledge of meeting space, set-up types, capacities, menus, amenities, restaurants, and specific room types.
