What will I be doing?

The Complex Hotel Manager will assume responsibility for overseeing the daily operations of both the DoubleTree by Hilton San Jose and Juniper Hotel Cupertino properties. In this pivotal role, you will offer visionary leadership to uphold our commitment to exceptional guest service and sustainable financial success. Your duties will encompass the efficient management of hotel operations, aiming to not only meet but surpass financial objectives and guest satisfaction benchmarks. Moreover, you'll foster a culture of heightened employee engagement and active community participation, ensuring a holistic approach to hotel management that resonates positively both internally and externally.

Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:


  • Work in conjunction with the General Manager to actively manage all property issues.
  • Direct and oversee large projects such as renovations, contract changes, infrastructure upgrades, capital projects and brand updates.
  • Development of meaningful, achievable hotel budgets and other short- and long-term hotel strategic goals.
  • Provide effective leadership to the hotel management team and team members to ensure revenue targets are met and exceeded, while ensuring guest satisfaction remains a top priority.
  • Ensure that costs are controlled throughout the operational departments and results are analyzed regularly to highlight problem areas and take appropriate action.
  • Respond to audits that are completed by the company to ensure continual improvement is achieved.
  • Plan, direct and coordinate the service delivery of all operational departments in order to meet and exceed guest expectations.
  • Monitor and lead the team in new strategies and approaches to customer service and guest satisfaction.
  • Comply and exceed hotel and company Service Standards
  • Manage and develop the Heads of Department to ensure career progression and effective succession planning within the hotel and company.
  • Encourage communication and collaboration across and between departments.
  • Seek and respond to Guest feedback in order to achieve positive outcomes and high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with other area hotels and community leaders.
  • Promote positivity and passion for hospitality through the hotel.

What are we looking for?

Basic Qualifications:


  • Union Experience Required
  • Experience managing a property with revenue of $20M or greater and 300+ rooms
  • 2+ years of Hotel Manager, AGM or Director/Leadership role or equivalent experience at a full service property
  • 2+ years of operations background
  • Success in building strong service cultures, increasing team member engagement and guest loyalty
  • Performance driven, with strong leadership capability and proven ability to attract, motivate, lead, inspire and direct a talented team towards driving excellent guest and employeesatisfaction results

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing CapEx Projects and renovation projects
  • Hilton brand expertise

The annual salary range for this role is $160,000.00 - $180,000.00 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.
