Job Description:

What You Will Do:

As the Operations Excellence Manager (OEX), you will:

• Assess current business performance, identify gaps, and establish and implement improvement plans.


• Monitor progress and facilitate the sharing of best-in-class ideas and processes.


• Assure the implementation of Best Business Metrics and Practices across all areas.


• Encourage a culture of Continuous Improvement within the business area.

How You Will Do It:

• Develop a vision/strategy and manage roadmaps to ensure execution.


• Identify gaps, create improvement plans, and conduct monthly OEX reviews with responsible plants.


• Connect projects and methodology to business strategies through gap analysis and other tools.


• Facilitate project selection, prioritization, and assignment, emphasizing breakthrough potential.


• Drive improvement teams and address barriers to project success.


• Collaborate with other Continuous Improvement Managers and support internal benchmarking.

What We Look For (Qualifications):

Required:

• You must have a Bachelor's Degree.


• At least 5 years of experience as a leader in a manufacturing environment.


• Relevant experience in Continuous Improvement methodologies.


• Strong communication skills across all organizational levels.


• Coaching and training capability (e.g., Lean, problem-solving, acceleration, and Gemba).


• 50% travel requirement.

Our fully integrated plant in West Union, South Carolina produces all the parts that go into batteries used in cars, boats, and heavy-duty trucks. We began operations in 1985 and now employ more than 300 people and operate six days per week. We are actively involved in our local community and give back through The Salvation Army, March of Dimes, back-to-school drives and the Oconee County Animal Shelter.
