Job Description

The GAP-Administration Processor will focus primarily on the Indirect department's Dealer Guaranteed Asset Protection (GAP) Refund process. The primary focus of this position will be the distribution and data entry of Indirect Dealer GAP Contract cancellations to the GAP Providers and selling Dealers, the balancing of GLs and the processing of refund checks. In addition, the Gap-Administration Processor will track, document, and assist with collection activity on aged, unresolved refunds due. This entails processing an average of 800 new GAP cancellations for up to $400,000.00 per month in addition to all aged/unresponsive dealer cancellations what will need to be collected on.

Essential Functions


  • Coordinates Indirect GAP cancellations through both the Dealer and Provider.

  • Track and Audit GAP refunds, Balance GLs and Process Checks

  • Collect outstanding Gap Cancellations from Indirect Dealer.

  • Answer member/dealer questions and resolve issues.

  • Research Gap policies/documents and cancellation discrepancies.

  • Adjust/Balance General Ledgers.

  • Deposit/Cut Checks/ Transfer funds for Gap refunds to current and prior members.

  • Bank Secrecy Act: Remains cognizant of and adheres to Ent policies and procedures, and regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act.

Qualifications

Minimum Formal Qualifications for Jr. level:


  • High School Diploma/G.E.D.

  • 2+ years' general lending, loan, or equivalent work experience to include:

    • 1+ Consumer lending processing, accounting or auto dealer financing.

    • 1+ GAP experience (Preferred)

    • 1+ years' Quality control experience (Preferred)

    • 1+ years' Collections experience (Preferred)



Minimum Formal Qualifications for Regular level:

  • High School Diploma/G.E.D.

  • 4+ years' general lending, loan, or equivalent work experience to include:

  • 3+ Consumer lending processing, accounting or auto dealer financing.

    • 1+ GAP experience (Preferred)

    • 1+ years' Quality control experience (Preferred)

    • 1+ years' Collections experience (Preferred)



Minimum Formal Qualifications for Sr. level:

  • High School Diploma/G.E.D.

  • 5+ years' general lending, loan, or equivalent work experience to include:

    • 3+ Consumer lending processing, accounting or auto dealer financing.

    • 1+ GAP experience (Preferred)

    • 1+ years' Quality control experience (Preferred)

    • 1+ years' Collections experience (Preferred)




    Each year of relevant work experience may be exchanged for a year in a relevant degree program or vice versa. For example, a requirement of a bachelor's degree in accounting and 2+ years of account experience could be substituted for a high school diploma and 6 years of relevant accounting work experience or a master's degree in accounting and 0 years of work experience.

    Technical or Specialized Knowledge/Skills:


    • Knowledge of Indirect Lending practices, policies, and procedures.

    • Attention to detail and mathematical accuracy.

    • Understanding of regulatory demands relevant to indirect lending preferred.

    • Ability to recognize and mitigate potentially fraudulent activity using available tools (i.e. Fraud Shield).

    • Knowledge of the Microsoft office suite with particular focus on Microsoft Excel.

    • Knowledge of loan documentation.

    • (preferred) Symitar / Akcelerant experience.

    • (preferred) Knowledge of Ent lending systems.

    • (preferred) Experience with General Ledger balancing & check cutting.

    Additional Information

    The pay range for this position is: $20.41 to $25.82 per Hour (S12)

    The pay range for this position is: $22 to $28.90 per Hour (S13)

    The pay range for this position is: $26.45 to $33.42 per Hour (S14)

    Final compensation for this position will be determined by various factors such as relevant work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, certifications, and internal pay equity.

    This position is eligible for a monthly incentive plan.
