Job Description:



We are seeking a motivated second- or third-year law student to join our corporate in-house legal team as a Part-Time Compliance and Governance Legal Intern. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in compliance-related legal matters while contributing to the success of our organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to leverage new technologies to solve complex problems.



Location: Minneapolis, MN



Hybrid position: Requires 1-2 days in office, downtown Minneapolis



Position Type: Part-Time (12-20 hours per week, M-F during corporate business hours)



Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 an hour



Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.




Key Responsibilities:



  • Assist in conducting legal research and analysis related to regulations and industry standards.

  • Support the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and training programs.

  • Assist in drafting and reviewing legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and internal policies.

  • Stay current on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends impacting the organization's global compliance efforts.

  • Provide administrative support to the legal team as needed.

  • Assist in special projects and initiatives as assigned.




Qualifications:



  • Currently enrolled in a second- or third-year law program at an accredited law school.

  • Strong academic record with coursework in compliance, business law, or related fields preferred.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency in legal research methods and tools.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities effectively.

  • Comfortable adapting to new technologies and software platforms to streamline processes and solve problems.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding ethical standards.
