About the Role:

The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas is seeking a self-motivated, versatile, Leave Case Specialist II who, under general supervision, will be the liaison between employees and management for all leave of absence matters. This role provides support on all aspects of leave of absence while ensuring compliance with related leave and disability laws including Pregnancy Disability Leave (PDL), Family and Medical Leave (FMLA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA), and other related federal and/or state regulations.

You Will:


  • Responsible for the comprehensive case management, including the administration of all aspects of leave and workers’ compensation programs, coordinating with managers to develop work scheduling or return to work accommodations, and ensuring accuracy in payroll for employees on leave, including time-entry. Serve as a single point of contact throughout the entire absence management process to determine eligibility and interpret policies for leave of absence. Provide hands-on support, potentially including handling of escalations and complex case issues in conjunction with Leaders, HRBPs, Legal, or the adjuster/claims examiner.

  • Serve as subject matter expert for leave of absence programs by educating employees and people leaders and providing guidance, coaching, and recommendations regarding processes and procedures.

  • Analysis to ensure effective management of leave programs, mitigating risks and supporting organization objectives.  Analysis includes but is not limited to usage trend analysis, cost-benefit analysis, employee satisfaction analysis and leave balance analysis.

  • Serve as liaison between third-party administrators, vendors, and other internal teams

  • Ensures policies, procedures, and programs remain compliant with evolving regulatory landscape.

  • Management of records which includes identifying, capturing, storing, retention, and records management compliance.

  • May perform other job duties as directed by Total Rewards Team and People and Culture Department. This includes coordinating pre-employment (post offer) and random drug screen processes and supporting Health and Wellness activities.

You Have:


  • 1-3 years related experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or other business related field of study

  • Experience with technology tools and digital platforms including Human Capital Management (HCM) platforms

  • Microsoft Office suite, specifically excel, experience required

  • Exemplary customer service and can provide assistance to employees, people leaders, and HR business partners.

  • General knowledge of Family Medical Leave Act and worker’s compensation applicable laws

  • Equivalent education and/or experience may be substituted for any of the above requirements

  • Knowledge of applicable state leave laws is preferred.

Notes:

This position may be filled at various levels based on candidate's qualifications as determined by the department.

This role allows for the employee to work in a hybrid manner with some work conducted onsite at the Federal Reserve work location and some work conducted remotely. Specific schedule details will be discussed during the recruitment process.
