PURPOSE/RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position is responsible for performing daily package operations to prepare product for shipment.
This individual may generate and/or handle regulated (i.e. hazardous/non-hazardous) waste as part of this job. They must be disposed of in accordance with federal/state regulations
Daily pick-up and distribution of U.S. and interoffice mail
Responsible for receipt of all FedEx, UPS, and other third-party deliveries
Verify packing slip vs. PO, receive into system, and deliver to internal area/customer
Conduct inventory and cycle counts in crib area, ongoing as needed
Follow secondary package requirements per process sheet and by looking up ES procedure in TSI
Labels must be checked in order, print, and process sheet for accuracyand completeness
Labels must be made from the order, assembly issue sheet, print, and process sheet in conformance with ES, ECS, and other product specifications
Maintain inventory of bags, labels, and printer ribbon
Position requires interface with Production Control and Inspection
QUALIFICATIONS :
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Math, mechanical aptitude
Ability to read and understand prints, process sheets, and engineering specifications.
Basic computer skills.
Good organizational skills
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
Ability to sit or stand in one position for a period of time. Ability to carry parts from assigned areas to the work station.
Dexterity of hands, some repetitive motions
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
