Job Summary


The Herculite Door Coordinator is responsible for evaluating bid specifications and drawings, ensuring that the
required data is obtained to successfully bid and win the project. Coordinators must
aggressively follow up with subcontractors to ensure that bids are received. Coordinators
also work with the Outside Sales teams to follow-up on bids and budgets to close the
business, as well as process orders and act as a project manager on orders until the project
is complete.


Here’s What You’ll Get To Do


The function of the All Glass Entrances Door Coordinator is to interpret and understand
architectural drawings and specifications and provide detailed take-offs and estimates that
incorporate different building envelope solutions. Qualified candidates should have excellent
communication skills, verbal and written.
• Receive and process requests directly from customers (via telephone, fax, and email)
for price quotations, product availability, customer orders, material returns, billing
corrections, product information, order changes, and cancellations
• Quickly and professionally resolve customer complaints and problems
• Understand the glass and hardware product lines
• Read and understand drawings showing measurements of custom glass orders
• Utilize AS400 and CR Laurence Storefronts Online computer programs
• Coordinate delivery and/or pick up of customer orders
• Coordinate with outside sales team to develop new customers
• Generate pricing quotes in a timely manner
• Possess strong customer service skills
• Develop and maintain excellent relationships with customers
• Sustain a working technical knowledge of all available products
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Responsible for adhering to policies of the customer financial services
• Regular and predictable attendance, the ability to safely perform tasks, and adherence
to all safety policies and procedures are essential functions of this job
• Provide ongoing feedback to the Manager on quotes and market activity
• Provide support to the outside sales team


Preferred Qualifications



  • Must be a High School graduate or GED. College degree preferred.

  • Must have 10-key data entry skills.

  • Must be proficient on a computer using Microsoft Office Programs (especially Excel.)

  • Fabrication Department experience is a plus.

  • Geometry experience is a plus.

  • Must have at least 3 years of Customer Service experience in a fast-paced
    manufacturing environment.

  • Must have good communication skills.

  • Professional demeanor both on the phone and in person; excellent written and verbal
    communication skills.

  • Must have the ability to work as part of a team.

  • Must have the ability to work under pressure in an organized and timely manner.

  • Must be observant and detail-oriented.


 Skills and Capabilities


• Experience in a position that deals directly with customers (front-line)
• Previous sales/customer service experience in the building materials industry,
specifically doors, frames, and hardware
• Ability to learn computer software estimating programs to prepare estimates
• Strong math skills, especially with fractions and decimals as a unit of measure
• Organized, self-starter with the ability to multi-task numerous projects, phones, and
work with minimal supervision
• Must be able to communicate effectively & conduct themselves professionally;
excellent written & verbal communication skills
• Ability to learn custom door hardware applications and pricing
• Ability to develop and maintain effective customer relationships
