2nd Shift Supervisor, Distribution Center (On-site) at clairesinc in Hoffman Estates, Illinois

Job Description:

The 2nd Shift Supervisor is responsible for supervising the day to day running of the Distribution Center. Monitor staff to ensure orders are picked/packed and shipped in a timely manner. Delegate duties to full time and temporary staff members. Recruit, train, develop and supervise distribution center associates. Oversees the entire second shift operations in the Distribution Center.


•Assist in the formulation of Distribution Center operational policies to ensure quick turnaround of PTL shipments
•Keep track of daily orders
•Report daily attendance
•Update and create daily reporting throughout the various departments
•Ensure new & replenishment items receipts flow is efficient and accurate
•Determine needs for temporary labor force and communicate needs to Manager
•Train and develop core DC associates and temporary staff
•Ensure all OSHA policies for a safe working environment are met and maintained, including HAZMAT shipments
•Aid in Inventory keeping, counts and updates
•Ability to complete all tasks within in the Concessions PTL system, including troubleshooting when necessary
•Ensure new concessions stores/remodels/relocation stores are picked, packed, and staged in a timely manner to meet ship dates
•Handle supply and labor invoicing
•Responsible for maintaining power equipment log of issues during each shift
•Ensure all equipment is stored correctly at the end of each shift
•May require overtime work and holiday work
•Complete other duties as assigned



Qualifications


•High School diploma or equivalent preferred
•Bilingual Spanish is required
•5+ years warehouse supervisory experience
•Experience with RF scanner system
•Experience with pick and pack operations
•Good oral and written communication skills and ability to multitask
•Good computer/AS400/WMS systems/Excel skills
•Stand up/reach forklift operator
