RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Windows Administrator in Quantico, VA.

Key Responsibilities:

• Windows Administrator will be responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems software and related infrastructure


• Participates in the entire lifecycle process, from technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure, through to application/product delivery


• Ensures that system operating systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational policies and regulations


• Managing the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running Windows operating systems


• Manage multiple Windows domains, using Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft End Point Configuration Manager, PowerShell, and various tools and processes


• Maintains the integrity and security of servers and systems


• Use PowerShell to automate tasks, deploy applications and other infrastructure related tasks


• Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources


• As a Windows Administrator, you will evaluate vendor products


• Develop and oversees implementation of testing strategies and documentation of results


• Provides guidance and leadership to less-experienced staff members


• Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned


• Maintains systems documentation

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience


• IAT II Certification required due to DoD 8570 requirements


• 2+ years of related systems administration/engineering

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
