BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Jr. Data Architect for an opportunity in Columbus, OH Hybrid!




Position Title: Jr. Data Architect



Location: Columbus, OH (Hybrid)



Anticipated Start Date: Tentative Start Date

Expected Duration: 11 months contract to hire.



Job Type: TEMP TO HIRE/PERM], [HYBRID/ON-SITE]



Pay Range: [$46.50] - [$49.50]


Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).



Requirements:





  • Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing and operational stability

  • Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages, notably Python, and database querying languages

  • Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle

  • Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as: Continuous Integration/Delivery, Application Resiliency, and Security

  • Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., Cloud, AI/ML, mobile, etc.)

Duration: 6 months contract to hire




Architect:



Join us to help one of the largest systemically important entities on the planet uplift it's network security platform automation. You help us rearchitect the system and data architecture supporting to enable internal developer facing rule delivery, automation, and associated outcomes.


* Executes data & system architecture solutions and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down problems


* Collects client/stakeholder feedback and implementation data to inform future development requirements


* Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems


* Produces data architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and collaborates to ensure design constraints are met by software code development


* Evaluates new technologies using existing data & system standards and framework to influence progress to modern architecture


* Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of data frameworks, applications, and systems


* Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture


* Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect



Qualifications



  • Generally 1+ years of related experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or related field, or equivalent experience

  • Ability to evaluate & synthesize current technologies to recommend ways to optimize data & system architecture

  • Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing and operational stability

  • Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages, notably Python, and database querying languages

  • Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle

  • Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as: Continuous Integration/Delivery, Application Resiliency, and Security

  • Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., Cloud, AI/ML, mobile, etc.)

  • Familiarity with micro-services, distributed, and cloud systems

  • Adds to team culture of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and respect

  • Proven ability to work in an extremely fast paced environment, meet deadlines, and perform at high standards with limited supervision
