Crane Currency has an immediate position opening for a Pre-Press Engineer Based in Malta.

How you will make an impact:

As Pre-Press Engineer you will be responsible to ensure the quality and effectiveness of the pre-press department deliverables whilst supporting product requirements and providing technical details & data to compile production information. The Pre-Press Engineer will communicate with internal stakeholders as well as external clients and provide answers to technical queries related to pre-press.

Job Responsibilities:

  • To provide detailed calculations for consumption of pre-press raw materials, while monitoring and providing product technical details for the construction of the job specification booklet and other related documents.
  • Inventory management and movement coordination of company assets.
  • Support change on existing products and processes through a structured procedure and ensures that quality objectives and requirements are met to support all stakeholders.
  • Development and implementation of process documentation including SOPs, WI, FMEA etc.
  • Quality conscious: Supports investigation activities using the right techniques, giving feedback and corrective actions to stakeholders.
  • Participate in contract review system to ensure compliance with customer order details, technical spec, and alignment with sites’ manufacturing capabilities.
  • Provide technical support and contributes in the Design-to-Production transfer process.
  • Drive and support the rationalisation and improvement of all existing and alternative process, gathering data, identifying and evaluating options; recommending course of action.
  • Supports quality improvement and cost reduction initiatives.

Knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:

Required:

  • Minimum Degree level qualification or higher in Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related Field.
  • Six-Sigma, Lean or other qualifications related to process improvement will be considered an asset.
  • Understands the principles and comply with practices of Lean Manufacturing, 5S and Continuous Improvement.
  • Excellent command of IT, focus on Excel and Process management systems software.
  • Have clear colour recognition.
