Job Description Summary:

As a DevOps engineer on our team, you'll design, implement, monitor, and maintain cloud infrastructure that supports our suite of Credit products. You'll work with technologies like Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, storage constructs like databases and AWS S3 buckets, asynchronous message queues, serverful and serverless architectures, and networking constructs like VPCs, load balancers, and firewalls managed through our Terraform code. Our team also provides support/coordination for networking, PayPal's Java framework (Raptor), security, authentication, and observability that require coordination with PayPal and PayPal Credit.

Meet our team:
We are the Developer Experience Team within PayPal Credit and more specifically, the Credit Platform Team. Our infrastructure powers PayPal Credit's BNPL and merchant lending products. We also support the development teams within PayPal Credit.

Job Description:



Your day-to-day:


  • Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions to automate provisioning, administration, configuration, and management of cloud resources.

  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery processes, including building, testing, and deployment.

  • Set up and manage monitoring and logging systems to ensure the availability, performance, and security of infrastructure and applications.

  • Collaborate with development and other cross-functional teams to streamline development workflows, troubleshoot issues, and ensure alignment with business objectives.



What you need to bring:


  • Familiarity with major cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

  • Strong understanding and experience with IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.

  • Proficiency with scripting languages like Python, Ruby, or Shell scripting.

  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and related tools.

  • Proficiency in setting up and managing monitoring and logging systems such as DataDog or Splunk.
