  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.

  • Minimum of 5 years robotic programming experience to refine movement using various controllers.

  • Minimum of 5 years experience performing root cause problem solving to impact equipment and process improvements.

  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience evaluating automated equipment and processes and solving automated issues.

  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications


  • Associate degree in a technical discipline.

  • Good oral and written communication skills.

  • Must be PC literate in Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Good mechanical and/or electrical aptitude.

  • Experience using industrial controllers.

  • Ability to read mechanical prints and electrical prints.

  • Good methodical aptitude for troubleshooting equipment and related issues.

  • Must be organized with the discipline to solve problems with permanent solutions.

This Automation Engineer Technician position will support multiple plants across the Airfoils business unit. This position is instrumental in identifying new manufacturing technology and sustaining current technology in use. The Automation Technician is responsible for automating manual processes, working with operators, vendors, and design teams. This position will follow through the build phase and implementation of equipment into production and establishing PM's to support.

Key responsibilities include:


  • Programming, troubleshooting, existing and new machine build

  • Responsible for Software Control on all robot programming.

  • New equipment proposals, design, RFQ's, training and documentation.

  • Conduct general robot safety training.

  • Machine repair parts for robot cells, modifications, and tooling purchases.

  • Develop technician troubleshooting guides.

  • Work with internal machine builder M-tech to design and develop automated solutions across the Business unit.
