The position will focus on the design, manufacturing and testing of sensors for tire-soil interactions in autonomous all-terrain vehicles. The position is available for one year with the possibility of renewal, contingent upon availability of funding. The person chosen will be part of a diverse and highly collaborative research group at Michigan State University led by Dr. Lajnef.

Department StatementCivil and Environmental engineering is organized to create a welcoming/inclusive campus community for students by collaborating with faculty, staff and students to develop programs and resources that will support curricular and co-curricular success and to prepare students to succeed academically and professionally.
The CEE Department is centered around civil engineering and environmental engineering degree programs. Some specialized disciplines include structures, pavements, geotechnical, environmental, transportation, water resources, and energy/sustainability. The department currently has 28 tenure-system faculty members, with approximately 700 undergraduate and 145 graduate students. Degrees are offered at BS, MS, and PhD levels.
