Job Summary

Primary duties consist of assisting with final assembly of manufacturing parts and assist other as needed in the manufacturing facility.

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Assist with assembly of manufacturing parts
• Assist with the construction of containers, skids, and boxes to properly protect and secure the product being shipped in accordance with shipping guidelines
• Verify the package marking and documentation of packages to be shipped to customer.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organized work area keeping all tools in operating order and ensuring sufficient supplies are stocked and ordered in a timely fashion
• Follow documented processes
• Maintain a high degree of quality and ensure packaging is cosmetically appropriate for the contents and all shipping paperwork is completed correctly
• Verify orders, quantities and documentation to prepare accurate packing lists and labels
• Housekeeping/maintenance of work area and machinery
• Abide by company policies
• Maintain confidentiality
• In order to achieve business objectives, work weeks in excess of 40 hours may be required
• Willingness to cross train or train other co-workers
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Current High School Student working toward graduation or GED

Working Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to moving mechanical parts, machinery and equipment, and vibration. The employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. While performing some job duties, there is a risk of electrical shock and other risks associated with a manufacturing environment. Job duties may require work in high, precarious places, work in outside weather conditions, and exposure to extreme temperatures in some cases. The noise level in the working environment is often loud. Because of this environment and associated risks, use of job appropriate personal protective equipment and clothing is required.
