Job Purpose



Join Our Team as a Process Engineer in Roanoke!


Are you passionate about optimizing processes to enhance quality, safety, and efficiency? We're seeking a skilled Process Engineer to play a pivotal role in our manufacturing site, driving continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring the successful industrialization of new products and processes. As a Process Engineer, you'll have the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, lead troubleshooting efforts, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.



Key Responsibilities



•Monitor process performance metrics and take corrective actions to maintain or enhance quality, safety, and productivity.
•Develop plans for process improvement through focused activities and capital projects.
•Interface with R&D, marketing, supply chain, and central engineering for the industrialization of new products and processes.
•Provide expertise during process-related troubleshooting, collaborating with production operators and quality technicians.
•Execute process studies and contribute to project scoping and business case development for capital projects.
•Play a major role in commissioning, start-up, and training for new projects, owning the technology for the site.
•Stay informed about relevant technology, company news, and quality standards, taking action as necessary.
•Manage manufacturing-related NPI activity coordination and promote process standardization to reduce variability.
•Participate in plant programs, committees, and training related to safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
•Coordinate and facilitate changes into the plant via the Management of Change (MOC) process, ensuring compliance with standards and procedures.



Level of Autonomy



As a Process Engineer, you'll enjoy a high degree of autonomy to review data, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with managers. You'll be a self-starter, knowing when to work independently and when to escalate issues to the next level. Manage your workload effectively, switching between projects from different departments as needed.



Job Requirements



•Bachelor's degree in mechanical, chemical, or process engineering.
•3-5 years of experience in CI, Process Engineering, or Chemist roles, preferably with 2-3 years in the coatings industry.
•Proficiency in IT tools and software such as SAP and MS Office.
•Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
•Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
•Excellent communication skills, capable of communicating effectively across different business units and levels within the organization.



Compensation/Benefits



The salary range for these skills is: $80,000 to $90,000. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
